Keynote Speaker: Katie Swindler

One of the Conventions featured keynote speakers is Katie Swindler from Allstate Insurance. Katie is a user experience strategist who writes and speaks on topics related to human-centered design. Prior to joining Allstate, Katie was a UX Director at FCB Chicago where she was the UX lead on the 2016 global redesign of JackDaniels.com as well as leading experience design for many other clients such as Cox Communications, Meow Mix, and Toyota Financial Services. Katie offers a unique perspective on digital work. She believes to truly connect with consumers, companies must combine emotion, utility, and technology to fulfill real human needs, especially in a catastrophe.

Currently, Katie oversees the experience strategy for Allstate Insurance’s consumer-facing websites. Katie strives to make the UX ( user experience) more accessible and user-friendly for all consumers. The goal is to create solutions and services with human-centered design and the human component to help in a crisis and cut down on confusion and uncertainty in times of despair.
